Ink Blotters have gone the way of the dinosaurs--they turned extinct at the same time as the fountain pen--killed by the ball point pen.

Fortunately for us, Mamie Piro Hill, Carole Hill Martin's mother, saved the ink blotters the various merchants in and around Pekin gave her.  And Carole generously scanned the blotters for our enjoyment.

Many thanks, Carole.
