Former Dunlap Woman Succumbs
Wilson, 85, of Peoria, a former resident of Dunlap, died at the St.
Francis hospital in Peoria. Nov. 23. Mrs. Wilson, who lived at 745 East
McClure avenue in Peoria, was the widow of Henry Wilson.
born in Philadelphia, Pa., Oct. 2, 1860, a daughter of William and
Martha Stewart Baird. She married Mr. Wilson in Peoria Jan. 16, 1877,
and the couple lived at Dunlap a number of years. Mr. Wilson died at
Dunlap in 1926.
Immediate relatives surviving are a daughter,
Miss Effie M. Wilson; a son, Louis H. Wilson, and a sister, Mrs. Mary
Taylor, all of Peoria. A daughter Lottie, died in 1930 and a brother and
three sisters preceded her in death.
Funeral services were held
at the Gauss mortuary in Peoria Monday with Dr. W. T. Smith of the
Peoria First Methodist church officiating. Burial was in the Prospect
cemetery near Dunlap.
