TOULON - Virginia M. Whittaker, 80, of Rural Route 1 died at 12:05 p.m. Monday, June 5, 1995, at her home.

Born Feb. 20, 1915, in Toulon to James and Iona Patterson Slygh, she married Cecil Whittaker on April 27, 1935, in Toulon. He survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Gary of Toulon and James of Taylor, Texas; one brother, George Slygh of Toulon; one sister, Mrs. James (Camilla) Carter of West Jersey; four grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Three brothers and sisters preceded her in death.

She spent winters in Lake Havasu City, Ariz. She was a member of First Congregational Church in Toulon and its Ladies Fellowship.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at DeBolt-Kidd Funeral Home. The Rev. Robert C. Joy will officiate. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m.

Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Toulon Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to her church.
