Funeral services for Mrs. Lewis White, 66, of Kewanee, former Toulon
resident, were at 2 o’clock Friday afternoon at Kidd Funeral home.
Rev. E. B. Morton, pastor of Toulon Methodist church, was in charge
and C. P. Patterson, accompanied by Mrs. Dwain M. Wallace, sang “The Old
Cross” and “In The Garden.”
Body bearers were Cecil Seckman, of
Peoria; Don Aby, of Kewanee; Theodore Pyle; Phillip T. Pyle; Ralph
Gerard and Raymond Seckman, of Toulon.
Burial was in Toulon
Mrs. White, the former Clella Hotchkiss, died at 4
0’clock Tuesday morning, November 9, at Kewanee Public hospital. She had
been in failing health for the pat 15 months.
She was married
October 8, 1907, in Toulon to Lewis White, who survives with a daughter
and a son, Mrs. Mildred Dawson and Floyd White, both of Toulon. Also
surviving are six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; two brothers,
Ward Hotchkiss, of West Jersey and Dan Hotchkiss of Peoria and a sister,
Mrs. Emil Zuber, also of Peoria.
