Clarence D. Trickle, 71, Dies at Nursing Home

Funeral Services for C.D. “Dandy” Trickle , 71, resident of Toulon for many years, were held at 2 P.M. Sunday afternoon at Kidd Funeral Home in this city.

Mr. Trickle died early Friday morning at Public Convalescent Nursing home where he had been a patient for several years.

Rev. Eugene C. Anderson , pastor of Toulon Baptist church, was in charge of the services. Mrs. Carolyn Wallace was organist and accompanied Mrs. Joanne Williams, who sang “Abide With Me”.

Body bearers were Ronald W. Hartly, Deroy Booker, Orval L. Colwell, Blair Young, Richard Warren and John Smith, all of Toulon.

Burial was in Toulon cemetery.

Born in Essex Township, Clarence Day, son of Mason and Sarah Colwell, was born January 11, 1884, in Essex Township.

He had been a carpenter but retired over 5 years ago.

He is survived by a daughter Mary, Mrs. Lawrence Scott, of Perry, Missouri; two sons, William of Toulon, Robert of Princeville, and five grandchildren,

Also surviving are three sisters; Mrs. Adelle Williams, and Miss Maude Trickle, of Toulon, and Mrs. Dora Pratt, of Salem, Oregon, and a brother, J. L. “Jake” Trickle, also of Toulon.
