Former Resident Dies in Princeton

Wyanet, Il., Mary Elizabeth Scott, 83, of Wyanet died Monday April 2, 2001, at Perry Memorial Hospital in Princeton.

Born March 8, 1918, in Toulon to Clarence D. and Madge M. Kerns Trickle, she married Lawrence C. Scott in August 1934, In Bureau County.

One brother, Robert preceded her in death.

Surviving are one son, Darrell (Kaye) of Sheffield; one daughter, Janet Bledsoe of Brimfield; one brother, William (Lila) Trickle of Kewanee; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She attended Congregational Bible Church in Wyanet.

She had been a beautician. She had also worked for Covenant Children's Home and Family Services in Princeton.

Services will be at 2p.m. Thursday at Grant Johnson Funeral Home in Wyanet, where visitation will be one hour before. The Rev. Rick Worgess will officiate. Burial will be in the Sheffield Cemetery in Sheffield.

Memorials may be made to her church or to Wyanet Rescue Squad.
