Hazel Bernice Miller daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Miller was born in Wyoming Jan 20, 1895 and died at the St. Francis hospital, Peoria, July 29, 1905, aged 10 years, 6 months and 8 days. Some months ago she was taken sick with inflammatory Rheumatism, which developed into general tuberculosis. She was a great sufferer, but a patient one.

She was a member of the Methodist Sunday School and Junior League and a most regular attendant. She was a child of obliging demeanor for one so young. Her religious inclination was very marked. When she knew that she could not live long she asked to be baptized an told those present that when she passed away she would go live with the angels in heaven.

On Monday morning the remains of Hazel were brought from Peoria and taken to the home of Mrs. Wm. Fritz. At two o’clock that afternoon, funeral serviced were held at the M. E. church conducted by the pastor. After the service the body of little Hazel was placed in the grave, by the side of her mother’s, in the Princeville cemetery, who was laid to rest a year ago last October. The floral tributes were many, the Junior League contributing many beautiful tokens of esteem, while other brought their offerings of affection. She leaves to mourn her death a father, two grandmothers and many relatives and a large circle of friends.
