M. Spray Grieve St. Augustine - M. Spray Grieve, 88, of St. Augustine died at 4:45 a.m. Friday, July 25, 1997, at the Care Center of Abingdon in Abingdon. Born March 30, 1909, in West Jersey to Ezra H. and Grace Catton Williams, she married J. Richard Grieve on June 25, 1927, in Elmira. He died

Aug. 4, 1983. She was also preceded in death by one son, Roy Grieve, two brothers and one sister. Surviving are one daughter, Ruth Burkhead of Fairview; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one sister, Marguerite Karls of Peoria. She moved from Toulon to London Mills in 1940 and then to St. Augustine in 1956. She, her husband and son owned and operated Grieve Lumber

Yard in St. Augustine for 35 years.

She was a member of London Mills United Methodist Chruch, where services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday. The Revs. Rick Kerr and Daryl Fansler will officiate. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Corman Memorial Home in Avon. Burial will be in Babbitt Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the London Mills United Methodist Church Air Conditioning Fund or the Babbitt Cemetery Fund.
