Funeral Services Are Held Thursday For Elmer Gratton
Funeral services for Elmer Gratton were held in the Bouton Memorial
home Thursday, February 26, Rev. James J. Gross of the Methodist church
was in charge of services. Mrs. Hall sang “The Old Rugged Cross” and
“Safe in the Arms of Jesus.” Interment was in the Dunlap Prospect
Elmer A. Gratton was born near Dunlap April 14, 1891
and passed away very suddenly February 23 at the age of 61 years. He was
the son of James and Mary Jane Graydon Gratton. His mother died at the
time of his birth and he was reared by Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Adkinson of

Peoria and was a resident of Peoria county all his life. Surviving are
his wife and five children; Mrs. Wilma Danes of Washington, Ill., Mrs.
Belva Sturm, Bernard, Edwin and Donald, all of Dunlap; four
grandchildren; three brothers and one sister.
Preceding him in
death were his parents, one sister and one brother.
