Miss Doris White And Elmer Obery Are Wed

Miss Doris White, daughter and Mr. and Mrs. Leo t. White, of northwest of this city and Elmer Obery MM3/C in the navy, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Obery, of Metamora, were married Tuesday, November 27, in Seattle.

The ceremony took place at 7 o’clock that evening at St. James Cathedral with Rev. Phillip H. Duffy performed the double ring ceremony. The couple was attended by S/K and Mrs. William Dyer, friends of the couple.

Mrs. Obery graduated from Toulon Township High school and is also a graduate of the School of Nursing at Peoria Methodist hospital. She is employed at the Monmouth hospital and will resume her work after spending a few weeks with her parents.

Mr. Obery graduated from Metamora High School and before entering the Navy in June 1944 he was an employee of Caterpillar Tractor company of Peoria. He has returned to sea duty in the Pacific.
