Former Resident Of Speer Is Married In Ottawa September 28

Miss Verla D. Stisser, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Stisser of Speer and John S. Massieson of Ottawa, were united in marriage Friday, September 28, in Ottawa. The ceremony was performed by Judge Massieson, father of the bridegroom, in the judge’s chambers in the court house. Attendants were Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hutchins.

Mrs. Massieson is a graduate of the Wyoming Community high school and attended Ames, Ia., State college. She is employed as a secretary in the office of Joseph G. Dingle, certified public accountant.

Mr. Massieson was graduated from the LaSalle-Peru high school, the University of Alabama and Kent college of law in Chicago. He is LaSalle county’s assistant states attorney and is a member of the Massieson-Hutchins law firm in Peru. He served four and one half years with the Royal Canadian air force and was on many combat missions.

The couple will reside in an apartment in Peru.
