Cheryl Best Weds In September
church was the setting chosen for the services read at 3 p.m. Sept. 11, which
united Cheryl Jane Best, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Best of Wyoming, Ill.,
and Duane Berchtold, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Berchtold of Speer. The Rev.
Alice Huff officiated.
Attending her sister as maid of honor was Miss Sally Jo Best.
Misses Vera Bouton, Kay Streitmatter, Ida Meaker and Elsie Dunn, all of Wyoming
were bridesmaids. Nancy Berchtold, sister of the bridegroom , was flower girl.
Roger Berchtold of Speer, was his brotherís best man. Ushers
were another brother, Ronald Berchtold and James Davidson, Wayne Best and Gerald
Gray, all of Speer.
Mrs. Berchtold attended Wyoming Community high school from which
Mr. Berchtold was graduated. He is employed as manager of Locker plant at
Chillicothe. The couple will reside in Chillicothe.

Sunday Wedding Unites Wyoming Girl, Speer Man
Mrs. Cheryl Best, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Best of Wyoming, and
Duane Berchtold of Speer, were united in marriage Sunday September 11, at 3 p.m.
in the Speer Congregational church with Rev. Alice Huff performing the double
The soloist was Ralph Brown of Speer. He was accompanied by
Miss Marie Gallup.
The maid of honor was Miss Sally Jo Best, a sister of the
bride. The bridesmaids were the Misses Vera Bouton, Kay Streitmatter, Ida Meeker
and Elsie Dunn. The flower girl was Nancy Berchtold, sister of the bridegroom.
Serving as best man was Roger Berchtold, a brother of the
bridegroom. The ushers were Ronald Berchtold, also a brother of the bridegroom,
Wayne Best, cousin of the bride and James Davidson and Gerald Gray.
The bridegroom is a graduate Wyoming Community high school and
is employed as manager of the Locker plant in Chillicothe. The couple will
reside in an apartment in Chillicothe.
