Bayer-House
 


Miss Phyllis House, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Guy House of Osceola, and Don Bayer, son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Bayer of Wyoming, were married in the Osceola Baptist church, Rev. Lloyd Tebo officiated at the service before an alter banked with palms, ferns and baskets of yellow snapdragons and white mums, flanked with candelabra.

A prelude of nuptial and traditional weeding marches were played by Mrs. Ray Turnbill, Mrs. Warren Colwell sang “Because” and “Always” receding the ceremony and “The Lord’s Prayer” as the couple knelt at the alter.

Miss Shirley Whittaker of Toulon was the bride’s attendant. Little Carol Day of Des Moines was the flower girl. John Bayer served as best man for his brother. The ushers were Howard Fry of Wyoming and Arnold House brother of the bride.

Mrs. Bayer is a graduate of Toulon township high school with the class of 1949 and attended State Teachers college at Normal for a year.

Mr. Bayer is a graduate of Wyoming Community high school with the class of 1947, attended Bradley university and is now associated with his father in farming.
