Jesse L. Donohoo married Miss Emma C. Schafer on Wednesday in Zuma by the Rev. Frank Schafer, the uncle of the bride. They will live on the farm of the groom's parents.

R. Hutchinson of Bowling tnp died Friday. He was born in Ireland on 7 August 1831 and has resided in Bowling since 1847. He was a member of the Episcopal Church. He is survived by a son Robert Henry; by one brother and by several sisters. The funeral was Sunday from Grace Episcopal Church.

Pre-emption: Wm Wllmerton who came to Pre-emption, Mercer County in 1842 and who is over 80 years of age, will soon move to Rock Island .

ANDALUSIA : Mrs. Sarah Westby died Tuesday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Mary Hubbard in Davenport , Iowa aged 75 years. She had been a resident of Andalusia for many years.

' Frances Tuttle, adopted daughter of Moses Tuttle of Bowling, has left home leaving a note saying she will not return.

COAL VALLEY : Morris Gannon of Wyoming is here visiting.

COAL VALLEY : Mrs. Robert Gregg died Sunday aged 74 years.

BOWLING: Mrs. Bert McReynolds and son Paul of Bloomington are here visiting her uncle, A.H. Tindall.

SEARS: Sarah E., widow of the late James Ellis, died Saturday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. H.D. Folsom in Rock Island , aged 72 years. Burial was in the Chippiannock Cemetery , Rock Island .

Hardy Drenter, a young Scott Co., Iowa farmer, has been arrested for threatening Freda Giles of Milan who had been employed in the family of the defendent's brother.

Miss Emma Kuehl attended the funeral of her friend, Miss Gussle Cox of Moline .

J.C. Pitman of Pre-emption, Mercer County married Miss Kate Logan of Sherrard, Mercer County last week in Davenport, Iowa.

Mr. Murdoch of Rural died Sunday, leaving a daughter. The funeral was at the U.P. Church.

Mrs. Henry Miller of Buffalo Prairie township died Tuesday.

Leona Rhea, little daughter of Mr. and Mrs.Henry Wilson died Tuesday. She was born 21 March 1899; she is survived by her parents, 6 brothers and 1 sister. The funeral was Thursday at the M.E. Church with burial in the Chippiannock Cemetery, Rock Island. Noda Wilson who has been working in Howard, Kansas is the brother of the dec'd.

Sterling Shipman, a Rock Island telegraph operator, died at his home this week; he is survived by his wife and children.

SEARS: Mrs. Lorenzen has returned from Denmark; her sister accompanied her.

H.B. Honens has left for Toledo , Iowa to attend the marriage of his cousin, Miss Mildred Smith.

Mr. and Mrs. Eric Okenberg who were married in 1853 have filed for a divorce; he is a jeweler in Moline.

Delia Liddy whose child was born in Davenport, Iowa about 4 weeks ago, has been freed from a Dubuque, Iowa court, accused of having killed the child. The child had been taken to its grandmother's house west of Dubuque after its birth.

William Dempsey of Ray , Ohio married Miss Emma Lambert of Milan on Sunday at the M.E. Parsonage; the bride was born and raised in Milan . The groom works for the railroad.

Mrs. Arthur Titterington died Friday at Argenta , Arkansas . She was a former resident of Rock Island County . Burial was at Weaver 'Tp Reynolds, Ills. She was born Emily Weaver, daughter of the late \ Easton Weaver who was one of the early settlers of Bowling tnp.She is survived by her husband, one child, her brother, J.H. Keyes Weaver and sister Alice Keyes.

Lorenzo D. Chambers married Miss Bertha A. Buffum yesterday at the parsonage of the 1st Methodist Church . They will live at 1126 19th Street . The bride is the daughter of A.A. Buffum of Blackhawk township. The groom works for the railroad.

Richard Pryce married Miss Minnie Lindloff, both of Coal Valley on October 29th at the home of the bride's mother, Mrs. Lindloff, Among those attending were Miss Helen Pryce of Rock Island and Miss Fannie Pryce of East Moline .

The Rev. Crumbaker of Moline has been called to Lexington , Ills due to the death of his aged mother.

Mr. and Mrs. H.A. Smith attended the funeral of her mother, Mrs. Ague at Cleveland , Ills on Saturday. Mrs. L. Penny of Des Penny Moines , Iowa is another daughter of the dec'd.

The Rev. John A. Griffin died Saturday at Sherrard, Mercer County where he had been pastor of the Congregational Church for several years.

Julius Krell was killed in an explosion Sunday at a drugstore on 20th Street in Rock Island .

James Lees married Miss Mazle Wooley on November 6th.

Henry Healer married Mrs. Susan Mast of Sears at the M.E. Church in Rock Island ; the groom is a businessman in Muscatine , Iowa .

Gottlieb Tinmerman has moved onto his newly purchased farm.

He bought 66 acres of the Downing farm 2 miles west of Taylor Ridge .

Mrs. Julius Crist died Tuesday at her home on Vandruff's Island ; she leaves 5 children, the youngest aged 3 months. (November 27th issue: Burial was in the Dickson Cemetery .)

Mrs. Lucy Reed Curtis, wife of Col. Henry Curtis, died Monday at her home, 1127 2nd Avenue , Rock Island , aged 66 years. She was born 15 December 1835 at Sag Harbor, New York and came west with her father, the late Marquis B. Osborn in 1837 and in 1845, they came to Rock Island where she was married to Col. Curtis in 1857. They have resided there since.

Chauncy B. Sears of Sears married Miss Mattle, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.C. Gruwell of Rock Island on Monday at Chicago .' They will live at 3601 Calumet Avenue , Chicago .

G.B. Mauck of Aledo, Mercer County and J.C. Miller of Milan will open a livery stable in Rock Island on 4th Avenue and 22nd St .

Mrs. Geo. V. Henry and grandson Geo. W. Henry jr will visit her daughter, Mrs. Geo. Shannon in Colorado Springs , Colo.

Mrs. Lena Blakely has filed for divorce against her husband, John Blakely; they were married in Rock Island in 1882.
