My name is Wini Caudell and I'm your host for Ogle County. A county rich in history.

We're a volunteer organization whose mission is to provide free genealogical information

for all researchers.

I'll add new data on a regular basis so please stop by often. I live only 90 min from Ogle county so

I hope to put a lot of useful information on here

The County was named for Joseph Ogle, pioneer politician and Lieutenant of the Territorial militia.

The County Seat is Oregon (Since 1838)

The Ogle County Genealogical Society

was founded by Doris Glade Vogel C.G.R.S. in August, 1979.

The purpose of this society shall be to collect, preserve,

and disseminate knowledge and information with reference

to genealogical and related historical and biographical data.

The society meets the first Tuesday of each month at 7:00 pm

at the Yellow Bird Senior Center in Oregon, Illinois.

Annual membership is $10.00 per family.
