Minnie Swartzbaugh


Minnie May Swartzbaugh was born near New Philadelphia, Ill., June 8, 1880 and died at Lincoln, Ill., Mar 17, 1918, from lung trouble, aged 37 years, 9 months, and 9 days.

Deceased had been an invalid most of her life. She resided with her parents near New Philadelphia until her mother's death sixteen years ago, when she entered a sanitarium at Lincoln, where she remained until her death. Besides her father, John W. Swartzbaugh, of New Philadelphia, she is survived by five brothers: I. M., of New Philadelphia, William, of Canton, Emanuel, of Herman, Charles, of near Bushnell and John C. of Pasadena, California, and a large number of friends.

Funeral services were held in the church in New Philadelphia, Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock, conducted by Rev. S. W. Ellis, of Adair. many were in attendance to pay their last tribute of respect. Interment in the family lot in the Mound cemetery west of New Philadelphia.
