Harriet Snyder


Funeral services for Mrs. Harriet Snyder, who passed away at the Phelps Hospital yesterday, are to be held at 2 p.m. Friday, January 29, at the Adair Methodist Church. Rev. Milton Swisher will officiate and interment will be at the Pennington Point Cemetery.

Coroner Yates conducted an inquiry yesterday attributing death to shock and complications from a fall off the porch at her home in Adair. She was 98 years, 10 months and 17 days old at the time of her death.

Deceased was born March 10, 1844, to Henry Hall and Margaret Leasure Hall. She was a member of the Methodist Church in Adair. She had been very active the past few years and did her own housework.

Mrs. Snyder is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Clara Coyner and Mrs. Minnie Simeral of Adair, three sons, George Snyder, Alvin Snyder and May Snyder, all of Adair. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jacob Snyder, who passed away in 1924.
