Glen R. Rutledge Dies Rites Friday

Glen R. "Jap" Rutledge, 78, of Adair, McDonough Co., Ill. died at 4:20 p.m. Wednesday June 1, 1977 in the McDonough District Hospital, Macomb, Ill.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday in the United Methodist Church in Adair of which he was a member. The Rev. Louie Zuck will officiate and burial will be in Industry, Ill cemetery. Friends may call at the Martin Hollis Funeral Home in Bushnell, Ill., until the hour of services.

He was born Sept. 25, 1908 at Adair, the son of Jasper and Elizabeth (Scudder) Rutledge. He never married and was an insurance salesman by trade.

He was a 50 year member of Modern Woodman of America of which he served as secretary for 40 years, and a member of the Robkin' Chair of Macomb, Ill.

Surviving are two nieces and several cousins. He was preceeded in death by his parents; a brother Glade and a sister Lela Aten.
