Clarence L. Long, 70, Bardolph Dies

Clarence L Long, 79, a retired Bardolph area farmer, died Sudnay afternoon at the Heron Nursing Home in Bushnell where he had been a patient for seven months.

Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Tuesday at the Smithfield Methodist Church. Burial in Smithfield. The Rev. Jack Hollow? will conduct the services.

Mr. Long was born July 8, 1886, in Fulton County, the son of Allen and Elizabeth Hoke Long. He attended school in Fulton County. He married Blanche McCaughey on April 11, 1909, in Fulton County. She died in November, 1963.

He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Alberta Miller, Bushnell, a son, James Long of Silvis and seven grandchildren.

An infant son, an infant brother, a sister, Mrs. Velma Parvin, and two other brothers, Albert and Raymond, died previously.

The family will meet friends at the Martin Funeral Home in Bushnell from 7:30 to 9 p.m. tonight. [Note: The age is different in the heading]
