Mrs. Charles W. Jackson
Mrs. Charles W. Jackson died April 29 at her
home near Airsworth, Ia from a complication of
ailments aged 45 years, 1 month and 10 days. The
remains were taken to Bardolph, Il.,
arriving there Wednesday morning.
Funeral services from the Methodist
church at that place Wednesday afternoon at 2
o'clock. Interment in the Bardolph cemetery.
Olive Portlock was born and grew to womanhood in
the Bardolph neighborhood. She was a daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. S. V. Portlock, well known residents
of Bardolph. In 1879 she was united in marriage
to Charles W. Jackson. Nine years ago the family
remove to Ainsworth where they had since
resided.
Besides her husband and parents, she leaves the
following children: Iris, Eli, Verna, Earl and
Myrle. Also three brothers and four sisters.
They are J. W., O. E., and B. S. Portlock all of
near Bardolph and Mrs. Carrie Wilcox, Mrs.
Elizabeth Wilcox of Iowa, Mrs. Eva Wilcox of
Scotland township and Mrs. Maggie Adkisson of
near Industry.
Deceased was well known in the Bardolph
neighborhood and in other parts of this county
and was held in the highest esteem by all who
knew her.
