Mrs. Clara Bell
Coyner, 90, of Adair, died at her home
Sunday at 5:40 p.m (Sep. 8, 1957). She had been
in poor health for several years and seriously
ill for four weeks. Funeral services will be
held Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at the Clugston
Funeral Home in Macomb. The Rev. John H. Clarke
will officiate and burial will be in Pennington
Point Cemetery.
Mrs. Coyner was born
in June (16), 1867 in Ross County, Ohio, to
Jacob and Harriet Hall Snyder. She came to
Illinois in 1873 and lived on a farm south of
Adair. She was married to Henry Coyner on
December, 1890. She moved to Adair in 1922. Mrs.
Coyner had been a member of the Adair Methodist
Church most of her life.
Surviving are two
daughters, Mrs. Elsie Herndon and Mrs. Dovie
Seymour, both of Adair. Also surviving are five
grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; two
brothers, George Snyder, Plymouth; and May
Snyder, Adair; and one sister, Mrs. Minnie
Simeral of Adair. One brother, Alvin Snyder
preceded her in death. One brother and one
sister died in infancy.
The family will meet
friends from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. tonight at the
funeral home.
