Miss Georgianna Cary

This lady, a niece of Mrs. Daniel Walters of this place, died of cancer at her home in Macomb Wednesday morning of last week. Mrs. Walters was with her niece during the last few days of her sickness, and Mr. Walters went over Thursday to attend the funerals which was held at 2 o'clock, interment taking place in Oakwood, Macomb's cemetery. Deceased was 50 years, four months and one day old. The appended obituary appeared in the Macomb Daily Journal:

"Deceased was born in this city, being the daughter of George and Anna Cary. Her father died a few months prior to her birth and during all the years of her life she was more a sister to her mother than a daughter. During the mother's advanced years she gave every care and attention until her death about three years ago. She was engaged with her for many years in the millinery and dressmaking business in this city, having made this her home all her life. About a year ago she began to fail in health, having been afflicted with a cancer which gradually grew worse and eventually caused her death. She leaves no near relatives, being survived by one uncle John Carrison, of Adair and one aunt, Mrs. Mary Walters, of Table Grove."
