Mrs. Miriam L.
Carson, 70, of RR2 , Colchester, died
suddenly at her home about 12:45 p.m. Monday
(July 19, 1971).
Funeral services
will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the
Colchester United Methodist Church of which she
was a member. The Rev. Leslie Jackson will
officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Auburn
Cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel of
Jones Mortuary until 11 a.m. Wednesday and at
the church until the hour of services.
She was born Dec.
20, 1900, at Foster’s Point near Table Grove,
the daughter of Allen A. and Anna Mae Foster
Wetzel. She was a member of the McDonough County
Home Extension. On April 29, 1922, she was
married to Ralph Carson, who survives.
Also surviving are
three brothers, Harry Wetzel of Colchester,
Gerald Wetzel of Macomb, and Clifford Wetzel of
Braymer, MO; five sisters, Mrs. E. P. (Enid)
Sundell and Mrs. Iris Berresford, both of
Macomb; Mrs. Carl (Florence) Craft of Vermont,
Mrs. Claude (Vergene) Bland of Lewistown, and
Mrs. George (Maxine) Mayes of Fort Lauderdale,
Fla.; and several nieces and nephews. A brother,
Roscoe, died previously.
