Ezra Carrison


Funeral services were held Tuesday at the Martin Memorial home for Ezra Carrison, who passed away at his home, 321 E Jackson Street, Sunday, June 6th after an extended illness. Rev. Milo Murphy of Ridotte officiated and interment was at Oakwood cemetery. He was 84 years, three months and 10 days old at the time of his death.

Deceased was born east of Adair, the only son John and Lewzanna (Holmes) Carrison. He resided there until his marriage to Olive W. Miner and they moved to the Pilot Grove neighborhood, later moving to Adair and then to Macomb in 1919. He was a member of the Pilot Grove U. B. church, but after moving to Macomb he transferred his membership to the Presbyterian church.

Mr. Carrison is survived by his wife and two children, Roy A. of Macomb and Mrs. Berniece McGrew of Adair; three grandchildren, Gerald McGrew of Adair, and Donald and Doris Carrison of Macomb; one great-grandson, Dale Carrison of Macomb; two sisters, Mrs. Sarah Spencer of Macomb and Miss Emma Carrison of Adair. One sister, Mrs. Frank Swedell of Adair passed away three years ago, and three sisters died in infancy.
