HAVANA -- Lessie Oral Dean Bonnett, 60, of 903 S. 10th St., died at 10:08 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 2, 1994, at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.

Born June 14, 1934, in Oakford to Lessie and Mable Sarah Rinertson Bonnett, he married Mary Margaret Sarff.

Surviving are three sons, James Dean and Jonathan Wayne, both of Havana, and Jeffery Lessie Alan of Decatur; one brother, Harry of Rockport, Texas; and one sister, Mrs. Robert (Leta) Crompton of Havana.

He was an operating engineer in the construction field. He also owned Dean's Cycle Shop in Havana.

He was a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 649 and a life member of the American Motorcyclists Association.

He was an Army veteran.

He was confirmed at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Havana.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Hurley Funeral Home in Havana. The Rev. Les Bonnett will officiate. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Cremation will follow the services.

Memorials may be made to the Havana Boys "H" Club.
