Kenneth G. Boggs, 70, of Havana died Wednesday, Nov. 10, 1999, at Mason District Hospital in Havana.

He was born May 11, 1929, in Havana, the son of William L. and Neva Marcy Boggs. He married Lois Jean Hall in 1954 in Smithfield.

Mr. Boggs was a high school graduate. He served in the Army for two years and the Air Force for 16 years retiring on disability. He was a land developer and owned and operated the Havana Dairy Queen from 1966-88. He built the Red Lion Motor Lodge in Havana in 1975 and operated it for several years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Havana, Disabled American Veterans, Havana VFW Post 6408 and was active with the Republican Party.

Survivors: wife, Lois Jean; two sons, Steven and Allen Boggs, both of Havana; two daughters, Gloria Jean Tufford of Havana and Karen Lynn Sarff of Rock Springs, Wyo.; five grandchildren; two sisters, Maxine Siltman and Darlene Pomeroy, both of Havana; and two brothers, William Boggs Jr. of Morris and Jack Boggs of Havana.

Services: 2 p.m. Saturday, Hurley Funeral Home in Havana, the Rev. Michael Merritt and the Rev. Jeff Noah officiating. Burial: Laurel Hill Cemetery in Havana.
