Many tombstones are disappearing fast and as a result, valuable history is in danger of being lost forever. As a way of preserving this history, we're taking photos of as many tombstones in Illinois cemeteries as we can.

This website is designed to allow researchers to automatically add their headstone photos, along with obituaries and related portraits, if so desired. If you would like to share your photos with fellow researchers, please contact me, Janine Crandell (coordinator/designer), at janine "at" illinoisancestors.org and I'd be glad to give you editing abilities for the county you'd like to update.
